Summary:

The lecture covers a basic understanding of the apparel industry supply chain issues and manufacturing complexities and dives into creation of a collaborative system between retailers and manufacturers. We will start with a review pre-season and in-season processes decision points and the implications of supply chain and review the evolution of supply chain models and technology over the last couple of decades. We will discuss the opportunities and challenges in enhancing supply chain infrastucture, take a look at systems and technology being used today in the apparel value chain. Finally go over a few of the emerging technologies and trending topics including digitization and sustainability.
